RECOGNITION OF PRIOR LEARNING // RPL

 

AOMI acknowledges both traditional and non-traditional forms of learning as valid pathways to acquiring skills and gaining competency. RPL (recognition of prior learning) is an assessment protocol that provides acknowledgement for knowledge and skills gained through on-the-job training and work experience, prior education and training, and formal education.
AOMI recognizes qualifications and statements of attainment awarded by other registered training organizations – RTO’s.

Formal RPL

Formal RPL indicates that you have previous qualifications that have covered the units you are applying for an RPL in.

Informal RPL

Informal indicates industry or work experience that you have that may entitle you to an RPL in certain units.

TYPES OF EVIDENCE REQUIRED

FORMAL

•    Certified copies of your current qualification and transcript

INFORMAL

•    Current CV
•    Letters from employers and/or supervisors
•    Any other supporting evidence

SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION

An initial assessment may be made by sending the form and documents via email, however for full RPL to be formally reviewed and assessed, hardcopies of all certified copies of documents will need to be sent via post. NOTE: Please do not send any original documents.
