MUSIC LITERACY

Notate music and Develop and Apply Aural Perception skills equip students with foundational music theory
knowledge and important aural skills that are essential for any serious music practitioner. This includes a
working knowledge of treble and bass clefs, the grand stave, notating and transcribing scales, triads, chords,
melodies, chord charts, the circle of 5ths, rhythmic subdivisions and much more.

UNITS OF COMPETENCY:

CUAMLT301 Develop and Apply Aural-Perception Skills
CUAMLT303 Notate Music

DURATION

6 months
You have a maximum of 6 months to complete a short course, however you can finish the course as quickly as you like.

OUTCOME

All students that complete the short course satisfactorily receive a Statement of Attainment that is Nationally Recognised.
